If you are a tenant or prospective tenant, then chances are you will have met or spoken to at least one member of our Housing Services team.
We’re a varied bunch, providing a range of services to our customers, including letting homes, helping tenants with welfare / benefits advice, taking repairs over the phone, dealing with neighbour issues, making sure complaints are listened to and dealt with – and also encouraging customers to get involved in helping to shape and improve services.
We have over 20 staff members in the team with some based in our offices at the Weaving Shed in Selkirk and others out and about in our communities. Our customers have told us that they value having their housing officers visible and available in their local areas, so we’ve recently improved their IT equipment so that they can work on tablets when out and about – saving travelling time and allowing them to spend more time with customers.
Our housing assistants are usually based in the office – if you’ve ever phoned up to report a repair or asked for advice on letting a home from you will have likely spoken to one of our helpful team.
