Working in HR is about helping Eildon Housing Association (EHA) to create value through its people – its Human Resources!
HR play a vital role in both business performance and people’s careers. HR is about making sure the right people are in the right jobs. Attracting people is an important first step and in the last financial year we managed 21 recruitment campaigns, received 265 applications and appointed 37 new staff members.
Retaining staff and enabling them to perform to the best of their abilities is vital. We source and deliver training and development to ensure that all staff have the appropriate skills needed to perform their role and develop their careers.
We work closely with the finance team to ensure the monthly payroll is administered each month and we ensure that our employment policies and procedures are compliant with current employment legislation and relevant codes of practice.
We produce reports on a range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding staff turnover, sickness absence, employee engagement and training and development. We support managers and staff throughout EHA with accurate guidance and advice on terms and conditions of employment and the application of staffing related policies
The HR Team at EHA is made up of (pictured left to right) Deborah Taggart, HR Manager, Linda Dunlop and Fiona Kimber, HR Officers. Between us we have worked at EHA for 50 years, together as a team for the past 10 years and we can still say that no two days are ever the same!
