Eildon's Financial Inclusion Service introduce its Money & Advice Tool-kit
Date: 25/01/2012
Eildon Housing Association's Financial Inclusion Service has created a great new money and energy advice tool-kit for the Eildon Housing Association website which provides some very useful advice and information on the following areas:
- Energy Advice - helps you find contacts who can give impartial advice.
- Energy Supplier Information/Rebate Scheme - find out ways that your energy supplier could help you save money on your fuel costs.
- Charities & Financial Support - find out about charities and other organisations which may be able to offer financial support to assist with fuel bills and fuel debt.
- Saving Money and Energy - find out more ways you could save money and energy.
- Welfare Benefits - find out which benefits you may be eligible for during the winter months.
The tool-kit has been very well received and highly praised by Ruth Kennedy of the Energy Saving Scotland advice centre who says:
"I love the user friendly way it's been put together - it's a fantastic resource that links up lots of services in one handy place."
Maureen Buchan, Chairman of Eildon Tenants' Organisation also commented:
"I've looked at the new tool-kit and found it most informative with very useful tips which I will be using! It is also presented in a way that is nice and easy to understand."
Janice Blenkinsopp of Eildon's Financial Inclusion Service confirmed that this is just the start for the tool-kit which will grow to include information on other matters such as banking, savings and insurance and more general welfare benefit issues relating to Welfare Reform.
