The Organisations that Form the Eildon Group
The Eildon Group consists of a parent company, Eildon Housing Association Ltd, founded in 1973, and two subsidiary organisations, Eildon Tweed Valley Housing Association Ltd and Eildon Enterprise Ltd. These organisations provide a range of community services including social rented housing, affordable home ownership, care and support services, agency and consultancy services for other housing providers and community organisations, and partnership projects supported by statutory agencies.
Eildon Housing Association Ltd provides a range of service under the following Eildon Housing and Eildon Care and Support brandings.
Eildon Housing provides a comprehensive housing service for its tenants and applicants in need of a home. It owns nearly 2000 houses throughout the Scottish Borders and develops up to 100 additional houses each year. For more information, go to Find a Property.
Eildon Care and Support operates as a specialist function within Eildon Housing Association Ltd and provides a range of care and support services for a wide variety of clients including the elderly, vulnerable single people, people with a learning disability and people with dementia. The wider non-core activities of the Group are carried out by the following two subsidiary companies.
Eildon Tweed Valley HA Ltd is a non registered housing association which provides agency services for other RSLs including Rural Stirling Housing Association Ltd.
Eildon Tweed Valley will also promote itself as the main vehicle for delivering low cost homes for sale and rent initiatives when the economic climate is right.
Eildon Enterprise is a company limited by guarantee and is a relatively new company which enables the Group to carry out a range of wider action activities that benefit our tenants and others within the community. These activities include a contract with Scottish Borders Council for Care and Repair Services across the Scottish Borders. Eildon Enterprise also works with a range of community groups and Development Trusts using the range of skills available within the Group in the most cost effective way.
