Insuring Your Contents

The Association's insurance covers the structure and fixtures of your home. It does not cover home contents (unless these are provided by the Association).

 

You are strongly advised to take out your own home contents insurance to cover replacement of your belongings, redecoration and making good damage caused to your home in the case of theft, fire or accident. A good insurance broker will advise you on the best policy and give you a quotation free of charge.

 

Your Housing Officer or Tenancy Support Worker will be able to give you information and an application form for the SFHA (Scottish Federation of Housing Associations) Insurance scheme, who provide cover specifically for Housing Association tenants.
