Our occupational therapist can give advice on large and small adaptations and improvements to your home which could allow you to be more independent and continue to live in your home in greater safety.
If you wish to self fund an adaptation or improvement, the Borders Care & Repair Team can assist with organising the work.
Even though access to Grant funding is not available through Borders Care & Repair, advice can be given on how to apply to Scottish Borders Council.
Types of adaptation you may wish to consider:
- Fitting of Grab Rails: free of charge
- Fitting of Bath/Shower Aids: fitted free if already purchased
- Fitting of Level Access Shower
- Fitting of Ramp Access
- Fitting of Stair Lifts
- Downstairs Toileting/Showering Facilities
- Extension to accommodate needs due to disability
