Get wise on food waste with Kitchen Canny

Consumers in Scotland waste over £1 billion worth of food each year. That's an average of £430 per household.
Simple changes to the way you shop, plan, store and cook can make a real difference.
The environment will thank you too. If Scotland stopped wasting all this food, we could prevent the equivalent of 1.7 million tonnes of carbon dioxide each year. This is the same as taking 1 in 4 cars off the road.
Kitchen Canny is a new project from Changeworks, funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Borders Council, to help householders understand the food they waste and offering tips on how to reduce it.
A free Kitchen Canny kit provides tools and ideas to try in your own home. Kits are available from locations across the Scottish Borders, please check on:

Getting Canny Together
