Fuel Direct - DWP Third Party Deduction Scheme
Fuel Direct can be used to pay arrears of fuel debts, as an alternative to disconnection, at a set amount. It can also be used to pay for ongoing usage of gas or electric to meet your current weekly fuel costs, which can be adjusted as costs go up or down. Fuel Direct is deducted directly from means-tested eligible benefits: Income Support, Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance or Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance. You can ask your benefits office to pay the supplier directly out of your benefit.
