Borders Care and Repair is a service provided by Eildon Enterprise Ltd in partnership with Scottish Borders Council.
This Borders-wide service offers to make people's homes:
- More comfortable
- Safer and more secure
- It will even carry out handyperson jobs or advise on home upgrading and grant funding
The service is available to the following people:
- Homeowners over 60 years of age
- Private tenants over 60 years of age
- Disabled owners or private tenants of any age
The Borders Care and Repair service is provided by our team based in Selkirk. They can visit people in their own home and provide home improvements, a handyperson service or adaptations service. Borders Care and Repair will ensure that all work carried out is by reliable tradesmen from our approved list of contractors.
Please note that due to reduced funding for this service, Borders Care & Repair now charges an annual subscription charge of £24 (£20 plus 20% VAT charge of £4) allows you to join the 'Handypersons Club'. Cheques should be made payable to 'Care & Repair Client Account'.
