Borders Care and Repair

The Borders-wide service that can make your home:

•  Safer and more secure
•  It will even carry out handyperson jobs or advise on home upgrading and grant funding

It is all FREE to you, if you are:

•  A homeowner over 60 years of age
•  A private tenant over 60 years of age
•  Disabled owners or private tenants of any age

The Borders Care and Repair service is provided by our team based in the Selkirk Office. They can visit you in your own home and provide any of the services listed below. Borders Care and Repair will ensure that all work carried out is by reliable tradesmen from our approved list of contractors.

Home Improvements

The service provides advice on improvements and repairs which would be essential to bring your home up to basic standards. Up to 100% means-tested grants are available and all work is arranged and supervised by our trained staff.

Handyperson Service

This service, provided by our experienced handyperson, will help you to live in comfort, safety and security by carrying out small DIY tasks free of charge, apart from the cost of materials.

Adaptations Service

Our occupational therapist can assess physical needs and the necessary improvements required to your home. This can help you be more independent. Small adaptations are free with means-tested grants for major works.
