Over the weekend, Debbie and Stuart, who are Eildon Customer Panel members, attended the annual Tenant Information Service Conference in Cumbernauld with Lita (Customer Engagement Officer).
There were many highlights over the weekend including the awards, speeches and workshops which informed and inspired the group. The Dementia Friends training was useful and made members think about what small changes can make a real difference to the lives of customers and in the wider community.
Debra McCreath commented….
‘I’m sure you will be pleased to hear that we have learned a lot over the weekend and have also made new friends from other Housing Associations and local Councils. Some of our new connections mentioned what a beautiful place we live in and offered to come down to the Borders to share with us what has worked well for them, over their years of experience’.
Debbie and Stuart said they are very much looking forward to putting their newly learned skills to good use and to having even more involvement in working together to help shape and improve services.
‘I’m sure that through working together we will be able to involve more customers and will be collecting an award ourselves next year’
