Housing Officer Susan Turner has shared some great photos of the new community Garden at Mill Court, Stow. She explained, ‘A wee while back Eildon donated £1000 towards this project to transform what was an overgrown piece of land opposite Mill Court in Stow into a community garden.’
‘Thanks to the hard work and dedication of some of our tenants and local volunteers from the area the garden is now taking shape with a wild garden designed to attract the bees and the butterflies, a new pathway which is wheelchair accessible and some park benches.’
Susan added, ‘The result means our tenants now have a lovely garden to look at from their windows where some tenants might struggle to get outside, and for those more mobile, a lovely place to sit out in, in the good weather.’
A great result for the whole community.
