Planned Maintenance
We carry out planned maintenance to keep our properties in good condition, and keep the surroundings clean and tidy. This is required by law.
Planned maintenance includes:
Service and safety check gas boiler, gas fire, heat pump
Eildon Housing Association is legally obliged to carry out safety inspections on gas appliances in our properties.
Every 10 months, we carry out a service in all properties with gas boilers, gas fires, or heat pumps.
It’s vital that you let us into your home to carry out this work.
Our contractor will contact you directly by your preferred method to arrange access.
We make every effort to contact you. However, if you don’t respond to repeated requests for access, we will be obliged to arrange for forced entry, and charge the cost to you.
Safety check of electrics, upgrade smoke detector
We are required by law to carry out a full electrical check on all our properties every 5 years.
Smoke detectors are upgraded at the same time.
This check makes sure your home’s electrical system is operating safely, and you are safe.
It’s vital that you let us into your home to carry out this work.
Other planned work includes:
- service thermostatic mixing valve
- service and test equipment (e.g. boilers, fire alarms, dryers)
- external redecoration
- roof maintenance
- maintain grounds – (Grounds Maintenance Schedule)
- clean stairs – (Stair Cleaning Schedule)
- clean windows – (Window Cleaning Schedule)
