Deborah Taggart - HR Manager
Overview
I’ve been the HR Manager at Eildon since April 2007. Responsible for all things People related including; recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, reward management and learning & development. After qualifying as a primary school teacher in NE England, I emigrated to South Africa in 1985 where I worked in educational consultancy, publishing (ran my own Company) and stockbroking (qualified to trade on JSE); all of which provided me with a breadth and depth of business knowledge and experience. Returning to the UK in 2001 I worked in a financial services company before studying at Napier University to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and then securing a role in the social housing sector with a Housing Association in Edinburgh. I am passionate about people and their development. I am an active member of the CIPD’s SE Scotland Branch, and I have been Group Lead of the Borders CIPD Professional Development Group for the past 6 years.
