Proud to sponsor Borders College ‘Construction and Engineering Student of the Year’ Award
We were proud to continue our support for emerging talent in the Scottish Borders by sponsoring the prestigious Construction and Engineering Student of the Year award at Borders College.
At the Borders College Graduation Ceremony held on Thursday 23 October at the Borders Event Centre, our Chief Executive, Nile Istephan, presented the Bill Wilkie Memorial Quaich to this year’s outstanding recipient, Malina Corrin.

Malina was selected for her exceptional academic performance, unwavering work ethic, and impressive problem-solving abilities. Borders College praised her adaptability and consistent excellence throughout the year, noting that she routinely exceeded expectations in both coursework and practical assignments.
Nile Istephan said: “It gives me great pleasure to award Malina Corrin this honour, which we introduced last year in memory of our esteemed former Chairman, Bill Wilkie MBE. This award is a tribute to Bill and his family, and we know he would have been delighted with such a worthy winner. We wish Malina every success in her future career path. I understand Malina has now enrolled in an Environmental Engineering course at Glasgow Caledonian University. We extend our best wishes for her continued success, and we are confident she will make a meaningful contribution in this field.”
