Community lounge

There will be a range of communal facilities available for your use as a tenant and also the wider community. This includes a community hub where meals will be prepared and served, a hairdresser salon, and various spaces for social activities.

The meals service is an integral part of the service delivered at an affordable cost. You can be assured of having your dietary requirements met. All meals are prepared by experienced and professional cooks. Occasionally we will deliver and serve meals to your home. However this will only be provided where Social Work include this service as part of their assessment and referral.

To be considered for Extra Care Housing, we need:

  • A completed application form.
  • An Adult Social Work Assessment outlining your care and support needs.

If you do not already have an assessment:

  • Scottish Borders residents: Contact Scottish Borders Council Social Work Services to request an assessment.
  • Residents outside the Borders: Contact your local authority social work team and request an assessment be carried out, when completed please share the assessment with us via the e mail address below.

Your application and assessment will be reviewed by the Extra Care Housing Panel, who will decide whether the service is suitable for your needs.
