Donald Macdonald OBE, 1928-2021

We are very sad to learn that former Eildon Board Member, Donald Macdonald OBE has passed away peacefully at his home in Melrose.  Donald was a board member with Eildon Housing Association from 1988 – 2001. 

Donald is remembered for his services to social work.  He was instrumental in introducing sheltered housing to the Scottish Borders at a time when this was a progressive and innovative step, allowing older people to retain greater independence.  

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Donald’s family and friends.
